StarBright XLT
Un factor foarte important la evaluarea performanței telescoapelor este transmisia, respectiv proporția luminii incidente care ajunge în planul imaginii.
Caracteristicile principale ale stratului de acoperire antireflex StarBright®-XLT:
- Strat de acoperire multiplu, ultrareflexiv: Straturile antireflex sunt alcătuite din straturi aplicate cu precizie din aluminiu, cuarț, dioxid de titan și iar cuarț. Reflectivitatea este constantă pe întregul spectru, iar cele trei straturi de acoperire oferă o protecție excepțională împotriva îmbătrânirii suprafeței oglinzii.
- Placă de corecție: La toate opticile Schmidt-Cassegrain marca Celestron cu strat de acoperire antireflex StarBright-XLT, placa de corecție este confecționată din sticlă clară ca cristalul și nu din sticlă silico-calco-sodică. Fără strat de acoperire, această sticlă are o transmisie de circa 90,5 %. Împreună cu stratul de acoperire antireflex StarBright®-XLT, transmisia ajunge la 97,4 %!
Întreaga optică compusă din placă de corecție, oglindă și lentile ajunge la o transmisie maximă de 89 % la 520 nanometri (unde ochiul uman adaptat la întuneric are fotosensibilitatea maximă). Transmisia medie pentru întregul spectru vizual de la 400 până la 750 nanometri este de 83,5 %.
