The PROSTAFF 5 -Beobachtungsfernrohre are entry models of Nikon spotting scopes and the successors of the RA III series. The housing of PROSTAFF 5 observation telescopes are about 20% lighter than the current RA III. The newly developed zoom eyepiece minimizes chromatic aberration at the edge of the field of view and provides a large eye relief for comfortable observation.

Three types of eyepieces with digiscoping compatibility are available. Via a connection adapter of FSB series they can be connected to many of the digital compact cameras the COOLPIX series.
