The Saturn V is to this day the largest and strongest thrust manned rocket. Through them the flights were to the moon überhaupterst realized.

The engines and almost all of the components were new technical ground and were never built in this size. The spiritual father and responsible for the successful construction was none other than the German Wernher von Braun.
