A precision-machined alignment tool for 1.25 and 2-inch apertures

This graceful laser collimator is practically indestructible. The laser diode module is held in place by paired setscrews from four compass points, ensuring true alignment, even after repeated dropping.
The combination of a 635 nm, bright red laser diode with an 0.8 mm aperture stop resuilts in a small, easily visible impinging point for precise collimation.
An aluminum ring protects the on/off switch from inadvertent power cycling and thus empty batteries.
