Astrodon Tru-Balance RGB filters have revolutionized CCD imaging. Their popularity is based on a few facts like, easy handling, high optical quality and superb color results in the photography of galaxies, star clusters and nebulae. There are two variants of the Tru-Balance filters. The E and I series.
The I-Series filters are designed for the unequal sensitivity to different colors of the Kodak Interline CCD chips (I-series) to compensate approximately. Leg of an RGB recording is the weighting of each image at 1:1:1 now with a deviation of up to 10%. Unfortunately, this can never be 100% promised and accomplished, but it allows an individual exposure times for each color channel, and the darks to keep the same.
